First Session at Gungahlin Community Centre – Abstract Painting Magic!

Participants showcasing their wonderful finished abstract masterpieces!

On Wednesday, I held my very first art session at the Gungahlin Community Centre — and what a wonderful way to begin! Participants dived into the world of abstract painting, experimenting with colour, texture, and playful techniques to create their own striking masterpieces. The energy in the room was buzzing, with everyone embracing creativity in their own unique style.

This session was extra special, as it also marked the beginning of a new chapter for Access Art Academy. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve now booked a brand-new venue for my upcoming art classes — a welcoming space where creativity can continue to flourish in the heart of our community.

Next week, our 4-week Paint & Chat course launched, inviting participants to connect, relax, and explore different approaches to painting together. It’s been such a joy to see new friendships forming, confidence growing, and artworks blossoming each week.

Only a couple spots left! Secure your spot here.

I can’t wait to keep sharing the joy of painting with the Gungahlin community!
