Our Floriade-themed Make Art – Eat Cake workshops at the Front Gallery & Café were a burst of colour, creativity, and community! With a gorgeous flower-inspired cake as the centrepiece (almost too pretty to eat… almost!), participants spent the afternoon learning new techniques—painting with sponges, palette knives, and even corrugated cardboard!

Every single artwork turned out completely unique, reflecting each participant’s style and imagination. Many familiar faces returned (some now fast friends after meeting in previous sessions!), and everyone enjoyed chatting and laughing together.

It was wonderful to see so many people embracing new techniques, overcoming creative fears, and going home with vibrant, personal artworks to treasure. 🌼✨
