🍰 Introducing ‘Make Art – Eat Cake’: A New Creative Event Series
🎉 Make Art – Eat Cake
Launching on Monday 28 April at The Front Gallery and Cafe in Lyneham, this event is a cosy, joyful celebration of creativity, connection, and (you guessed it) cake!
What is Make Art – Eat Cake?
It’s a relaxed, beginner-friendly visual art workshop designed for anyone who wants to explore their creativity in a welcoming space. Whether you’re an experienced artist or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years, you’re invited to join us for:
Two hours of hands-on art making
Coffee and delicious cake
A warm, inclusive atmosphere
All materials provided—just bring yourself!
Inspired by the popularity of "paint and sip" events, I wanted to offer something a little different—something slower, more mindful, and deeply focused on skill-building and creative play.
“Don’t get me wrong—I love a good paint and sip! But I wanted to create a space where people could really learn, connect, and walk away proud of what they’ve made. And what better pairing than art and cake?”
A Collaboration with Local Women in Business
This event wouldn’t be possible without the incredible Carly Branch, manager of The Front Cafe and a passionate supporter of Canberra’s creative scene. From the very beginning, Carly has been a champion of this idea and I’m so lucky to be working with her.
“Carly has been so enthusiastic and supportive from day one. It’s been wonderful to collaborate with someone who shares the same passion for building creative opportunities in our community.”
