Learn how to create a puppet using simple materials, how to operate it and perform it!

Suitable for teachers of all levels. Taught by internationally trained puppeteer and registered teacher, Marianne Mettes.

You will learn:

  • How to create a puppet from scratch

  • Learn professional puppetry techniques

  • How to design a short performance

  • Learn how to embed puppetry and literacy within your curriculum

  • Learn how to include puppetry into your lesson plans and sequences

  • Gain valuable feedback on your lesson ideas and puppetry techniques

Details:

  • What: Puppet making and performance (full day)

  • Where: Gungahlin Community Centre, 47 Ernest Cavanagh St, Gungahlin ACT 2912

  • When: Sunday, 18 May 10am-4pm

  • Experience/prerequisites: No experience required. This course is suitable for adult learners only (ages 16+)

  • Cost: $340 for a 5 hour session (includes breaks, refreshments, BYO lunch)

  • Materials: All materials provided, but encouraged to bring your own notebook, pencils/pens.

You will receive an auto-generated email confirming your purchase. Shortly before the session date, you will receive an email from the teacher with more session details.
