Keep Your Dutch Going – 4-Week Speaking Course

• When: Thursdays, 30 April - 21 May, 2026 (inclusive) 4-week course

• Where: Online live classes via Google Meet

• Time: 6-8 pm AEDT / AEST (short break midway)

• Enrolments close midnight, Sunday 26-4-26 - don’t miss out!

Overview

This 4-week course is designed to help learners refresh and extend their Dutch proficiency, with a strong focus on building confidence and developing speaking fluency. Sessions are based on a range of texts and interactive activities. Grammar is addressed as it arises.

Target group

This course is suitable for learners with an intermediate level of Dutch, particularly those who have previously studied with Marion and wish to improve their speaking skills. Learners who have not studied with Marion before are encouraged to contact us for suitability prior to enrolment. You can check the self assessment page to see if you meet the Dutch 3 requirements. Classes are led by Marion, a native Dutch speaker and experienced language teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience.

Course format

• Small-group classes

• Adult learners only

• Emphasis on active participation and spoken communication

• Content tailored to the needs and progress of the group

Support materials

Participants will have access to a live online document containing support materials for each lesson. These materials are designed to complement class participation and will be updated throughout the course.

Preparation requirements

Participants are expected to prepare in advance by reading or reviewing assigned texts and materials, which will form the basis of in-class speaking activities.

Requirements:

• A stable internet connection, with webcam and audio capability

• A quiet space with minimal background noise

• A writing-pad and pen to take notes

• Please ensure you have your webcam switched on and your mic off when you join the class.

• Join 10 mins early if you like to test your connection and webcam/audio

Note: It is advised that you have two devices during the live class, so that you can access the support materials while you participate in the live call (i.e. a mobile device with the course materials next to a laptop with the live session). Alternatively you can print out the materials before the class.
